Vacancy: Erlas Victorian Walled Garden – Charity Lead Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the small team of dedicated, professional staff at Erlas Victorian Walled Garden, Bryn Estyn Road, Wrexham (EVWG) providing a valuable service for adults with learning disabilities.
During the current pandemic we had to close the garden to our service users, however we have maintained the gardens and provided support to our beneficiaries through our Keeping in Touch programme of activities. As a charity we need to reassess all aspects of our service offering which includes building a business development plan, increasing the number of beneficiaries we can support, developing new sponsorship and partnerships, developing a marketing strategy, securing the charity’s long term future.
As the Charity Lead Officer you will be instrumental in working with the trustees to develop the plans, leading the implementation of the plans, negotiating with external agencies and managing day to day operations.
The person we are looking for will be experienced in the following competencies, preferably gained while leading a charity working with adults with learning disabilities:
- Identifying potential sources of funding and managing fundraising activities
- Business management and administration including board level reporting
- Line, Team and Performance management
- Project and Change management
- Financial management
