On the afternoon of Wednesday 18th May, the Fron Coch Gardening Club travelled from near Bala, to look around the walled gardens and woodland at Erlas. Emma proudly showed the gardeners our plants (and some weeds!) and many discussions took place on the best way to prune fruit trees and how best to propagate our mulberry tree. Sheila, Mike and Ann then led the group into the ‘Round-house’ in the West Garden, where home-made cakes and hot drinks were available. Everyone enjoyed their visit, and have promised to return to our Victorian Open Day on Saturday 18th June between 1 and 4 pm. (See events page for more details). As well as making some new friends, we made over £100 following this visit, confirming the gardens are well worth travelling to, to come and see!
