A big thank-you to everyone who visited the gardens over our 4 day plant sale in April. We made £813, which was a huge achievement, and confirms that at this time of the year, many people plan to make their gardens look beautiful and hopefully our selection of plants will have gone some way to achieve this…
We also hosted a consultation meeting for our community, with a short presentation by Ann Morton on the Garden’s History and Development so far, followed by an explanation of the Charity’s Future Development Vision by the Chair, Geoff Rate. The talks were supported by testimonies from Gwen Hughes (mum to a Damon, a beneficiary); from Nickki Lynch, a tutor to the supported learning students from Coleg Cambria who visit us every Friday; and from Paul Mayers, who works with the armed forces veterans who have started volunteering at the walled gardens. Everyone filled in a questionnaire, and many more visitors also did so during the course of 4 days, so thank you to all.
